At the Institute of Neurological Recovery (INR), we help patients living with the lasting effects of Cerebral Palsy.

Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a neurological condition caused by damage or abnormal development of the brain, most often occurring before, during, or shortly after birth. The condition affects the brain’s ability to control movement, muscle tone, coordination, and posture. While cerebral palsy is a lifelong condition, the symptoms and level of disability can vary significantly from person to person.
Individuals with cerebral palsy may experience muscle stiffness (spasticity), involuntary movements, muscle weakness, balance problems, difficulty walking, impaired hand function, speech difficulties, and challenges with daily activities. Some people may also experience associated symptoms such as seizures, vision or hearing impairments, cognitive difficulties, or chronic pain.
At the Institute of Neurological Recovery (INR), we currently accept new patients with cerebral palsy who are 18 years of age or older. The first step in the evaluation process is a comprehensive phone consultation with a member of our medical team.
Prior to the consultation, we will gather and review the patient’s medical history and any relevant medical records. During the phone consultation, an INR medical provider will discuss the patient’s symptoms, answer questions about treatment, explain the science behind the Perispinal Etanercept (PSE) treatment, and determine whether the patient may be a candidate for treatment.
All consultations are conducted by phone, so no travel is required for the initial evaluation. If the patient is determined to be a candidate, our team will discuss the next steps, including treatment recommendations, scheduling, and associated costs.
Perispinal etanercept is a method of targeting detrimental neuroinflammation using etanercept, a special anti-inflammatory drug, delivered utilizing a novel, non-invasive injection method.
Perispinal etanercept is NOT experimental. Perispinal etanercept has been used to treat more than 5,000 chronic stroke patients since 2010 at the Institute of Neurological Recovery.
No, it is not too late. Neuroinflammation can last for years, or even decades, after brain injury. Life-changing neurological improvements following perispinal etanercept treatment performed weeks, months, years, or even decades after stroke or brain injury are not uncommon.
Referrals are not required. The Institute of Neurological Recovery has received, and welcomes, referrals from neurologists, speech pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, primary care physicians, online stroke groups, and, of course, patients and their family members.
Receive detailed information regarding the Institute’s unique, patented, anti-inflammatory treatment. We currently treat and accept new patients from around the world, even years or decades after stroke or traumatic brain injury.
Complete the form and a member of our team will be in touch shortly.
